Learn and practice the principles and techniques of this ancient martial art. Classes are suitable for children ages 10 and up and adults. All levels are welcome! Session 1 January 4-February 20.. Session 2 February 21-April 17th

Pom class teaches the fundamentals of the high school performance sport. All aspects of pom will be covered, including audition tips, basic dance skills, rhythm skills, conditioning and stretching, and pom technique. A great preparation class for students interested in trying out for a high school pom squad!

Teen hip hop reviews the basic steps taught in kids hip hop. Students will learn more challenging steps as well as work on speed, flexibility and performance. Popular music and choreographed routines will be used to teach all the best moves any kid needs to shine at the school dance! (45 minute class)

This class includes cross training activities to help reduce injury rates and allow for a safe off-season training program for any sport or just for fun!! Activities include: rock climbing, indoor cycling, water running, plyometrics, and much more!

This water fitness program offers different classes specifically designed to meet the needs of those with physical disabilities and/or post-surgical or sports injury re-hab needs.

The Youth Advisory Committee is comprised of students from the local schools. This group meets once a month to discuss current youth programs and share ideas for new programs. These students have a huge impact on the programs we offer. If you would like to become a member, contact Becky Kalafut at 832-7937 ext: 2220.

The Midland Community Center offers many childcare opportunities for children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. We offer all day childcare from 7am until 6pm for children who are between the ages of six weeks and five years old. We also offer after school childcare for children at the Midland Community Center site, Woodcrest Elementary, Chestnut Hill Elementary, and Siebert Elementary. During the summer months we provide all day childcare for school age children. The childcare is licensed through the State of Michigan and has been in existence since 1989.
