Due to the extenuating weather conditions and the flood levels projected for Saturday morning, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we must cancel this year’s Great Lakes Loons Pennant Race.

Many, many hours and dollars have already been invested in preparing for this race, so this decision is a difficult one to make. However, it is important that city staff, police, paramedics, and other key community partners are available to attend to the safety of our community. We would like to thank all of our participants and volunteers and appreciate your understanding. We would like to thank all of our sponsors: Athletic Republic, Bob Evans Restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chemical Bank, Caddis Development Group, Dow Chemical Company, Fisher Contracting, Gillespie Group, Great Lakes Emergency Power, Great Lakes Loons, Klomparens Othodontics, Midland Community Center, MidMichigan Health, Northwood University, Quad Graphics and Walmart Loons for their continued support of this fundraiser for the Midland Public Schools Track and Field programs. The proceeds from this race will be dedicated to the Midland Public Schools Track and Field programs.
